Biography

I received my Ph.D. from the University of Akron, Akron, Ohio in 1986. I joined the faculty in the Department of Psychology at the University of Maryland, shortly thereafter and I am currently a professor of Industrial/Organizational Psychology in the Department of Psychology at this university. My research centers on three themes: a) human resource practices, team/organizational diversity and organizational climate, b) leadership, team-processes, and cross-cultural issues, and c) measurement/research methodology. I was one of the original coordinating team members of Project GLOBE and am an author on the 2004 and 2014 GLOBE books. I am a fellow of the American Psychological Association, the Association for Psychological Sciences, and the Society of Industrial/Organizational Psychology. I have published over 100 papers, book chapters, and books.
